Kathleen Parker

Julia Mary Kathleen Wilson Parker, 91, of Prosperity, widow of Harold Lee Parker, died Friday, January 8, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland

Born on November 20, 1929, in Chesnee, she was a daughter of the late Creed B. and Julia Mae Arrowood Wilson. She was retired from McKechnie Vehicle Components and was a member of Park Road Baptist Church.

Mrs. Parker is survived by a son, Billy Wilson Parker of Prosperity; a daughter, Deborah Lee Parker (Marion) McClary of Dalzell; grandchildren, Rose Stewart, Charlotte (Heath) Smith, Dixie (Phillip) Goshen, Lindsay (Kevin) Simmons, Corie (Aaron) Franklin, Brantlee Parker and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by ten siblings and a great-grandson, Blake Goshen.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wako Cotney. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 – 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Park Road Baptist Church, PO Box 622, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Aaron Franklin, Kevin Simmons, Heath Smith, Phillip Goshen, Nathan Stewart and Jonathan Koopman.
