Kathy Taylor

Kathy Marie Taylor, 70, of Newberry passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her residence.

Born on October 5, 1952 in Newberry, She was a daughter of the late Harold Lee and Sara Seymour Taylor. Kathy was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and served on church council. She was the 2016 recipient of the Lay Person of The Year Award given by the Rotary Club of Newberry.

She is survived by a sister, Gwen Taylor and her husband Tim McCorkle of Irmo and by a brother, Tim Taylor and his wife Angie of Ridgeway.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Rosemont Cemetery by the Rev. Jimmy Counts.

Kathy had a love for animals so memorials may be made to the Newberry County Humane Society, PO Box 485, Newberry, SC 29108.
