Kenneth Burk

Kenneth Ross Burk, 55, of Newberry, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his residence.

Born on March 22, 1962, in Norfolk, VA, he was a son of George Richard and Marti Nunn Burk. He was an Army veteran, a car mechanic and attended Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church.

Mr. Burk is survived in addition to his parents, George and Marti Burk by daughters, Amanda Nichole Burk and Desaray Lynn Chaffin; brothers, Rick Burk, Mike Burk, Dan Burk, and John Burk; grandchildren, Hayden Chaffin and Ayla Chaffin. He was predeceased a brother, Edwin Burk.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 25, 2017, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial with military honors will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
