Kenneth G. "Ken" Zueger, 59, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Hospice Savannah after a long illness.
Ken was born in Bismark, North Dakota on February 10, 1952. He has lived in Savannah for the past thirty years. Ken served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a sheet metal worker by trade. He was also an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Jill Zueger; grandchildren, Will and Caroline Zueger all of West Columbia; parents, Nick and Monica Zueger of Mandan, ND; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Roger and Pat Zueger of Mandan, ND and Mel Zueger of Queen Creek, ND; sister and brother- in-law, Phyllis and Jim Benz of Mandan, ND; mother and father-in-law and Mr. and Mrs. Forest Senn of Newberry. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. His sister, Carol Ciavarella and his wife, Melanie preceded Ken in death.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011in Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newberry. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah Inc., P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416 or the Wounded Warrior Program, www.woundedwarriorproject.org .
