Kevin Sheets

Kevin Leroy Sheets, 64, of Newberry, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on December 18, 1959, in Peoria, IL, he was a son of the late Clarence "Sonny" and Mary Ellen Smallwood Sheets. Mr. Sheets was retired after twenty years from the United States Army. He then worked for Fulmer Building Supply for many years where he remained until Fulmer’s closed. Mr. Sheets was a member of the DAV.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine “Janie” Wood Sheets; a son, Joshua (Rachel) Sheets of Columbia; a daughter, Desiray (Michael) Burk of Newberry; sisters, Ellen Sheets of Pekin, IL, Karen (Kenny) Ball of Wister, OK and Michele (Allen) O’Ben of Livermore, ME; grandchildren, Kevin Burk, Cynthia Burk, Kayleigh Sheets and Ivy Sheets and a sister-in-law, Sue Sheets.

Mr. Sheets was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie (Gene) Cornwall and a brother, Steve Sheets.

Everyone is invited for a time to visit with the family on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
