Kristin D. Miller

Kristin Dowd Miller, 29, of Pomaria, died Monday, February 2, 2015, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 30, 1986, in Columbia, she was the daughter of James P. Dowd, Jr. and Donna K. Dowd. She was a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Health Promotion and Education and from Newberry College with a nursing degree. Mrs. Miller was employed by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived in addition to her parents, James and Donna Dowd of Pomaria; her husband, Thomas Judson Miller; a daughter, Kaylee Ann Miller; sister, Jamie (Lance) Hall of Little Mountain; maternal grandparents, Marcy and Robert DeHart of Pomaria; paternal grandmother, Christine Dowd of Pomaria; mother-in-law, Sydney Miller of N. Augusta; father-in-law, Eric (Shay) Miller of Newberry; and niece, Emily Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 5, 2015, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
