Larry Gallman

Larry F. Gallman, 78, of Newberry, died Thursday, April 17, 2025 at his residence.

Born on November 28, 1946 in Newberry, he was the son of the late Lawes Lindler and Ovline Clopton Gallman. Mr. Gallman worked for Duke Power then later went to work for the South Carolina Department of Transportation where he retired. He served in the South Carolina National Guard and was a member of Cross Point Church. He loved playing cards with family and long time friends, Odell and Pam Stuck. After retirement, Larry loved being able to spend his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His heart was his wife of nearly 55 years with whom he enjoyed going out to eat and just spending time together.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Fowler Gallman; a daughter, Lisa Ann (Ken) Daniels; a son, William Michael Gallman; grandchildren, Chelsie (Meghin) Taylor-Walling, Casey (Hunter) Enlow, Christopher (Whitney) Walling, Hailey Gallman, Xavier Gallman, Melenna Gallman, and Mikey Gallman; great-grandchildren, Charli Mae Enlow and Penelope Jane Taylor-Walling; and cousins, Sylvia Moore and Brooks Berry.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Cross Point Church by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Cross Point Church, PO Box 1171, Newberry, SC 29108.

Honorary pall bearers will be O'Dell Stuck, Julius Wicker, Randall Richardson, John “Sport” Edwards, Mac Vaughn, and Joey Gray.
