Laura W. Reid

Laura Welborn Reid, 59, of Newberry died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on December 27, 1956, in Wilksboro, N.C., she was a daughter of Carley S. Welborn and the late Ruth Pharr Welborn.

Laura loved music and adored her granddaughter, Fiona.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Larry Dean Reid; a son, Michael Reid (Catherine) of Columbia; sisters, Rebecca Truett of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Donna Poe of Greenville, T.N.; a brother, Howard Welborn of Winston-Salem, N.C.;and a granddaughter, Fiona Reid.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Ruth Elizabeth Reid.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
