Kevin Lee Ringer, 62, of Newberry, died Sunday, August 2, 2020 at his residence.
Born on October 19, 1957 in Newberry, he was the son of the late Malcolm Lee and Joyce Mays Ringer. He was retired from Clinton Newberry Natural Gas and he along with his wife operated the Shine and Lee Christmas Tree Farm. Mr. Ringer was a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Newberry where he had served as a deacon and was presently serving as an Elder. He was a member of the Friendship Sabbath Class and a former choir member. Mr. Ringer was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon “Shine” Willingham Ringer; daughters, Amanda (Adam) Scott of Lexington, Julee Ringer of Greenville and Stephanie Moore of Newberry; a sister, Robin (David) Godwin of Andrews; a special cousin, Jean Williamson of Newberry and his granddaughters, Mara Scott, Adelay Scott and Emma Moore.
A service for the family will be held at the graveside at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Seth Yi. Others who would like to attend are asked to remain in their cars and will be given the opportunity to drive-by at the conclusion of the service to speak with the family. Memorials may be made to Camp Joy, 918 S. Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
Active pallbearers will be Adam Scott, Charlie Ringer, Bob Ringer, David Godwin, Dale Cromer, Mickey Bowers, Justin Smith and Michael Lyles.
