Libby Counts

Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Counts, 64, of Prosperity, Monday, died February 2, 2015 at her residence.

Born on July 5, 1950, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Doris Montjoy Brown. She was a 1970 graduate of Newberry High School and worked as a dental assistant in Prosperity for over 46 years, currently for Dr. Tony Chibbaro.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Johnny S. Counts; a daughter, Candice Counts (Blake) Sheppard of Silverstreet, two granddaughters, Elizabeth Reese Sheppard and Layla Blake Sheppard; a sister, Lois Brown (Buster) Bowers of Prosperity; Nieces, Tracy Bowers (Chuck) Bledsoe and Elizabeth Ann Bowers (Dan) Weaver; great-niece, Hadley Grace Weaver; great-nephews, Evan Troy Weaver and Hunter Evan Moore. She was predeceased by a brother, Marvin Ray Brown.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
