Lila Mae Lowery Adams of Greenwood wife of the late Samuel L. Adams died March 21, 2014.

She was the daughter of the late James Arthur Lowery and the late Lucia Goodman L. Collier and step-daughter of the late Tom W. Collier. She was a graduate of Ninety Six High School and Davis Beauty College; Past Worthy Matron of Rosa Lipscomb Chapter Order of Eastern Star; Past President and Treasurer of Sidney Drive Club. She was a member of Woodfields Baptist Church for the past 46 years and previously served as Secretary of the Rebekah Sunday School class and as Treasurer of Woodfields Senior Pals, Prayer Warrior at Woodfields Baptist and various other positions.  She was also active in the community, having served as a Board of Director for the Grendel Village Association and held positions as Vice President and Treasurer. Most recently she was a volunteer at Greater Greenwood United Ministries.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Marie Perry and husband Tom, of Newberry, S.C. and one son, Arthur Loran Adams and wife Lisa of West Columbia, S.C., two granddaughters Meghan Marie Perry of Brooklyn NY and Ashley Nicole Adams of West Columbia, one sister, Myrtle L. Smith of Greenwood, and three nieces Jamie L. Carson, Terina L. Harvely and Toni S. Eddy.

Services will be held at Blyth Funeral Home 4:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2014, with Rev Sam Thomason officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens . The family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Woodfields Baptist Church, 1715 Marshall Road, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
