Linda Cook

Linda Crayne Cook, 65, of Whitmire, widow of James Albert Cook, Jr., died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on February 1, 1947, in Whitmire, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Ruth Elizabeth Lindler Crayne. She had worked at Whitten Center and Wilson's Grill. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cook is survived by brothers, Barry Crayne and Ronnie Crayne and grandchildren, Jimmy Cook and Linda Cook; son-in-law, Anthony Pearson; nephews, Chad Crayne and Steven Crayne; niece, Leighann Crayne Lefoy; sister-in-law, Judy Crayne; cousins, Reggie Lindler, Gene Lindler, Paige Lindler, Brittany Crenshaw and Jerry and Judy Lindler . She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Inez Pearson.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, June 1, 2012, at Heritage Wesleyn Church by the Rev. Mark Stevenson. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Heritage Wesleyan Church in Whitmire.
