Lisa Adams Richardson, 58, of Silverstreet, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 31, 1959, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Frank Y. and Lucretia Neal Adams. She obtained her bachelor degree from Newberry College and a master's degree from Clemson University. Mrs. Richardson retired from the Newberry County School District and was currently teaching at the Newberry Academy. She was Teacher of the Year in 1998 at Little Mountain Elementary School. She had a great love for her profession as a teacher and truly loved the students whose lives she touched. She was a member of Silverstreet Lutheran Church and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Richardson was a member of WELCA and was a former choir member while at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Meredeth Amanda “Mandy” Richardson of Silverstreet and a son, Christopher (Amanda) Richardson of Pomaria and extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 30, 2017, at Silverstreet Lutheran Church by the Rev. Harry Crout. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Richardson, 1679 Koon Trestle Road, Pomaria, SC. Memorials may be made to Silverstreet Lutheran Church, 120 Long Street, Silverstreet, SC 29145.

Active pallbearers will be Billy Suber, Eddie Cleland, George Piersol, Bill Hillman, T.C. Bowers, Paul Werts, Nick Piersol and Kevin Suber.

Honorary pallbearers will be the faculty and staff of Newberry Academy.
