Lois L. Thomas

Lois Leilani Keaweamahi Thomas, 89, of Prosperity, widow of Harold Grey Thomas, died Friday, January 20, 2012, at White Oak Manor.

Born on July 5, 1922, in Hilo, Hawaii, she was a daughter of the late George Keaweamahi. Mrs. Thomas was retired from North Trident Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by a son, Michael Grey (Jean) Thomas of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters, Barbara Chubb of Summerville, Janice (Dave) Messink of Milford, OH and Elizabeth Clark of Prosperity; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 11494 SC Highway 34, Newberry, SC 29108 or to Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, 965 Lindsay Circle, Newberry, SC 29108.
