Loretta Livingston

Loretta Derrick Livingston, 77, of Pomaria, widow of Henry Hamilton Livingston, Jr., died Friday, February 16, 2018 at her residence.

Born on November 2, 1940 in Peak, she was a daughter of the late William Calvin and Eddie Lowman Derrick. She retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control in Newberry. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Go Group.

She is survived by her son, Henry Hamilton “Buddy” Livingston, III and his wife Rhonda of Pomaria; a brother, William Carroll “Billy” Derrick, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Prosperity; three grandchildren, Brooke Livingston Harmon and her husband Jesse, Hannah Carrie Livingston, and Derrick Hamilton Livingston. She was predeceased by a sister Ann Derrick Shealy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Monday, February 19, 2018 at New Hope United Methodist Church by the Rev. Daniel Eplee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, 331, Holloway Street, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the Pomaria Rescue Squad, PO Box 192, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pall bearers will be Calvin Shealy, Bryan Amick, Gordon Eargle, Brian Smith Chris Smith, and Joey Pullen.
