Louis H. Wicker, 70, of Pomaria, died Sunday, February 4, 2018, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on March 6, 1947, in Pomaria to the late Cecil W. and Mary Leitzsey Wicker. He was honorably discharged after serving twelve years in the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Wicker was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Pomaria, where he had served on the church council as well as other committees. He was a member of the American Legion. He was the owner and operator of Louis Wrecker Service and was a farmer. Mr. Wicker was a former co-operator of I-26 Shell Station in Newberry.

He is survived by brothers, Harold (Ann) Wicker of Pomaria and Carold (Judy) Wicker of Prosperity and his fiancee, Jo Ann Richardson of Pomaria and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Nell Wicker.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carold Wicker. Memorials may be made to the church cemetery fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Leitzsey, Jacob Wicker, James Richardson, Randall Waites, John Wheeler, William “Bo” Wallace, Donnie Leitzsey and Mark Richardson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Bannister, Paul Werts, Kenneth Graham, Carroll & Kathy Leitzsey, Chad Leitzsey, Richard Bookman, Andy Akerman, Jimmy Cook, Sylvia Wheeler, Dr. Carroll Pinner and the staff of J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
