Mary Louise Shealy Lindler, 85, of Prosperity, widow of John L. Lindler, Jr., died Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Intermedical Hospital.

Born on March 24, 1929, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Ethan and Elise Richardson Shealy. Mrs. Lindler was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and the Lunch Bunch.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam L. DeHart of Prosperity; grandchildren, Michael (Tamra) Taylor and Brett (Allie) Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Raegan, and John Michael Taylor; sister, Nelva S. Lindler; adopted family Rev. Brent, Lynn, David, Andrew and Elizabeth Nichols; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews including Stanley (Suzanne) Shealy. She was predeceased by siblings, Alice Elizabeth Shealy and Paul Shealy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, November 3, 2014, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Restoration Fund, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the Pomaria Rescue Squad, PO Box 192, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Goodman, Michael Taylor, Brett Taylor, Stanley Shealy, Hunter Taylor and Ben Lake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Dove, John Lindler, Michael Shinn, Toby Smith, Kris Wicker, Tyler and Paige McGuire, Barry Richardson and members of the Adult Sunday School Class of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
