Louise Alberta Williams Morris, 94, of Prosperity, widow of Elbert Morris, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at White Oak Manor.
Born on June 1, 1922, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Estelle King Williams. She retired from the Saluda Hosiery Mill and after retirement kept her grandchildren. She was the oldest member of Zion United Methodist Church. She was the founder of the Cracker Club, which she cherished. She loved her family and her church family dearly.
She is survived by a son, Larry A. Morris (Thelma) of Prosperity; a daughter-in-law, Ponzell Morris of Prosperity; a sister-in-law, Annie Williams of Hammond, IN; grandchildren, Kendell Morris, Benji Morris (Tara), and Justin Morris (Vivian); great-grandchildren, Landon, Ben, Kailey, Anna Grace, Lawson, and Justin, Jr. She was predeceased by a son, Floyd Morris; a sister, Sara Morris; and two brothers, Jesse Williams and Richard Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127.
Active pall bearers will be Kendell Morris, Benji Morris, Justin Morris, Landon Morris, Ben Morris, Lawson Morris, and Justin Morris, Jr.
Honorary pall bearers will be members of the Cracker Club, Dr. Oscar Lovelace, and her special friend and pew partner, Brenda Hyler.
