Lula Mann

Lula Ree Gladden Mann, 88, of Whitmire, widow of Clarence Mann, died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at White Oak Manor.

Born on November 14, 1921, in Gaffney, she was a daughter of the late Henry Grady and Nancy Minerva Smith Gladden. Mrs. Mann was retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of The Master’s Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Steele and Susan Jenkins both of Whitmire and Elaine Sprouse and her special friend, Merl Bull of Clinton; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010, at The Masters Baptist Church by the Rev. Todd Johnson. Burial will follow in Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery in Blackburg. The family will receive friend one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to The Master’s Baptist Church, 21 Gary Street, Whitmire, SC 29178.
