Lynn Jackson

Portia Lynn Jackson, 67, of Newberry, died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Newberry County Hospital.

Born on September 4, 1946, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Porter C. and Dorothy Morris Jackson. She was a retired Radiology Technician having worked in Daytona Beach, FL and Winnsboro, SC. Ms. Jackson was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Tony C. and Linda M. Jackson of Tierra Verde, FL and an aunt, Barbara M. Werts.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Michael Whitesides. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Glenn Street Baptist, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
