Mabel Lindler Cain, 95, of Newberry, died Sunday, November 5, 2017, at Springfield Place.
Born on August 15, 1922 in Peak, she was a daughter of the late John Lomas Lindler, Sr. and Lila Mae Stoudemire Lindler. She was retired from ISE America and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Ms. Cain is survived by sons, Freddie L. (Janette) Cain of Prosperity and Tommy Cain of Silverstreet; a daughter, Judy C. Fowler of Chapin; sisters, Martha Jo Mahaffey of Lancaster, Sue Grant of Greenville and Annie Laurie Graham of Pomaria; brothers, Robert Lindler of Pomaria and William Howard Lindler of Newberry; grandchildren, Mary Shannon (Chris) Dameron, Carl W. Lominick, Alan L. Lominick, Stanley C. (Paula) Mills, Jennifer (Jamie) McLendon, Christopher (Kayla) Cain, Tammy Moss, Michael Cain and Miranda Tillman and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased children, James “Ricky” Cain and Kaye C. Lominick, a grandson, Robert Lominick and siblings, Margaret Wharton, Phillip Lindler, Mack Lindler and John L. Lindler, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. William Hightower. Memorials may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, 1401 Milligan Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Springfield Place Unit 4 for their loving care to Ms. Cain during her last days.
