Mabel Cromer

Funeral services for Mabel Shealy Cromer, 92, will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Pomaria Lutheran Church by the Rev. Carroll Robinson. Interment will follow in Pomaria Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pomaria Lutheran Church Building Fund, PO Box 246, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Mabel was born on June 29, 1924 to the late Joseph Marion and Alice Epting Shealy and was one of eleven children. She passed away on February 12, 2017 at her residence. Mabel worked for many years and retired from Mepco (General Electric) in Irmo. She was a member of Pomaria Lutheran Church and was seamstress who shared her talent with many of her friends and neighbors in the community.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie William (Linda) Cromer and Dennis Roy Cromer; grandchildren, Candace (Chad) Frick and Heather (Jeremy) Harris; great- grandchildren, Zach, Zoe, Ella and Everly; her sisters, Dorothy Boyd, Rubye Glymph and Mary Evelyn Doolittle and special family friend, Nicki Lemos. Mrs. Cromer was predeceased by her husband, William Roy “Hook” Cromer and siblings, Olin Shealy, Roy Shealy, Talley Hugh Shealy, Grady Shealy, Joseph Marion Shealy, Jr., Charles Ray Shealy and Louise Shealy Stockman.

Active pallbearers will be Benjie Cromer, Barry Glymph, Greg Glymph, Bob Ariail, Bennett Shealy and Mike Cromer.
