Mabel McCullough

Mabel Richardson McCullough, 95, of Whitmire, widow of T.P. McCullough, died Sunday, September 2, 2012, at her home.

Born on November 30, 1916, in the Jollystreet section of Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Bessie McGraw Richardson. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Mrs. McCullough is survived by sons, Thomas A. (Debbie) McCullough of Moncks Corner and George L. McCullough of Newberry; a daughter, Joyce (David) Hill of Whitmire; a sister, Mildred Rushton of Charleston; a brother, Ned M. Richardson of Newberry; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Janelle Richardson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Lighthouse Baptist Church by the Rev. David Clark. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family is at her home and will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Dwight Beheler, Doug Bozard, Jimmy Hendrix, Carroll Koon, Mike Monroe and Richard Shealy.
