Maedell Kunkle

Maedell Moore Kunkle, 82, of Newberry, widow of Fred H Kunkle, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her residence.

Born on November 21, 1936 in Blythewood, she was a daughter of the late James Osmond and Annie Mae Branham Moore. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She is survived by a son, Richard Dean Kunkle, Sr. (Susan) of Newberry; a daughter, Eileen K. Aultman (Terrell)of Newberry; a sister, Lynette M. Raines of Blythewood; grandchildren, Alexandra Kunkle, Eric Logan Smith, and Richard Dean Kunkle, Jr. She was predeceased by brothers, James Lindler Moore and Richard Lavern Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Newberry Ward. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741 Greenwood, SC 29648 or to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Missionary Fund c/o Bishop Baron Buzhardt, 722 David Jones Road, Saluda, SC 29138.

Active pall bearers will be Jim Raines, Kevin Raines, Brad Moore, John Zenoni, Dean Kunkle, Jr., and Eric Smith.
