Manuel "Mane" Lopez

Manuel Frederico “Mane” Lopez, 16, of Newberry, died Sunday, October 25, 2009.

Born on October 26, 1992 in Newberry, he was a son of Manuel Lopez Hernandez and Manuela Amelia Lopez. He attended the Newberry Church of God and St. Mark’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with friends and was a talented artist that will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his father of Mexico and his mother of Newberry; a sister, Adriana Lopez of Newberry; a brother, Enrique Rojas Lopez of Newberry; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Fred Tucker of Newberry; paternal grandparents, Trinidad Hernandez and Seraphin Lopez of Mexico; aunts, Teresa Tucker and Mary Tucker of Newberry and Valerie Lopez of Arizona; an uncle, Fred Tucker, Jr. of Newberry and a host of other family members

A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Newberry Church of God. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service on Friday and one hour before the service Sunday at the church.  Memorials may be applied toward his funeral expenses at 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
