Marcella "Sally" Blomberg

Marcella M. "Sally" Blomberg of Newberry, died Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was 88 years old.

She was born on November 26, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Blomberg, her parents, Odin and Myrtle Trom of Minnesota and two brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Blomberg was a member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Golden Agers, the Adult B Sunday School Class and the Joy Fellowship.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Richard Petry of Newberry; grandchildren, Danny Walck, Troy (Tina) Petry and Bonnie (Ross) VanEss; six great grandchildren, four sisters and their spouses and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
