Margaret G. Rinehart

Margaret Gaines Rinehart, 89, of Newberry, widow of William S. Rinehart, Sr., died Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at White Oak Manor.

Born on August 6, 1930 in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Emma Lee Whitfield Gaines. Mrs. Rinehart worked at American Fiber and Finishing and later worked ten years at Wal Mart. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Rinehart is survived by a son, William S. “Buck” Rinehart, Jr. of Newberry; daughters, Patricia R. Frick of Chapin, Betty Susan Rinehart of Prosperity, Janice R. (Tommy) Griffin of Pomaria, and Nancy R. Porter (Bobby Williamson) of Swansea; a sister, Doris Richardson of Little Mountain; a brother, Riley Gene Gaines of Union; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Kay Rinehart.

Graveside services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Arden Hallman. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126. Those attending are reminded of the COVID-19 guidelines.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Williamson, Rob Bowers, Griffin Bowers, B.J. Cochcroft, Dave Frick and Eddie Senn.
