Margaret Milstead

Margaret Wood Milstead, 95, of Newberry, widow of Jimmie Sease Milstead, died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at White Oak Manor.

Born on March 22, 1926 in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Johnny W. and Nannie Mae Franklin Wood. She retired from the Kendall Company and was a member of both Mt. Pilgrim and St. James Lutheran Church's .She enjoyed reading and growing flowers. She had a wonderful personality, and made friends everywhere she went. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Tim (Christine) Milstead of Newberry; brothers, John Wood of Columbia and Jimmy (Glenda) Wood of Columbia; grandchildren, Chris (Amy) Milstead of Pomaria and John Bryan Milstead of Brevard, N.C.; and 3 great-grandchildren, Anna Marie, Christy, and Landon.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021 in the Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church Cemetery by the Rev. Bobby Morris. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 678, Prosperity, SC 29127. The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor and MSA Hospice for the compassionate care that she received during her illness.
