Faye Counts Stoudemire, 78, of Little Mountain, died September 9, 2022 at her residence.

Born on August 7, 1944 in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Walter Horace and Margaret Ruth Derrick Counts.

She retired as Assistant to the State Director of the Office of  Federal Contract and Compliance programs in Columbia, SC. She was President and co-owner of Little Mountain Gun and Supply, Inc.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Stoudemire; a son Gerald Douglas “Doug” Stoudemire and his wife Kim of Chapin; a daughter, Anne Stoudemire Dunton and her husband Robbie of Little Mountain; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor Dunton and his significant other Kailey Purvis, Aindrea Dunton Hochadel and husband Philippe, Bryce Stoudemire Rish, and Cole Stoudemire; father-in-law, George Marion Stoudemire of Little Mountain; brother-in-law, Mickey Stoudemire of Little Mountain; sister-in-law, Lois Cromer Counts of Georgia; special nieces, Elizabeth “Boo” Counts Darrow and husband Victor of Suwanee, GA and Katelyn Counts Callahan and husband Corey of Charleston; her fur babies, Bandit and Patches; and many aunts, cousins,nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, George Michael Counts, Sr. and a nephew, George Michael Counts, Jr. and his wife Cindy.

A celebration of life service will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 6:00PM in the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of one's choice.
