Margaret Watts Kibler, 79, of Newberry, died Saturday, September 24, 2011 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born on May 11, 1932 in Newberry, Mrs. Kibler was a daughter of the late William Levi Watts, Sr. and Nellie Moss Watts. She was a former employee of Monsanto and was a member of Beth-Eden Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Rufus Hamilton Kibler; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Francis R. Watts, Sr. of Prosperity; nephews, Philip Hite, Jr. of Lumberton, NC and Francis R. Watts, Jr. of Prosperity; nieces, Phyllis Hite Lowery of Prosperity, and Kathy Dawn Williams of Prosperity; 5 great nieces and nephews; 8 great-great nieces and nephews; and 1 great-great-great nephew. She was predeceased by brothers, Francis R. Watts, Sr., James O’Neal Watts, and William Levi Watts, Jr.; sisters, Elizabeth Watts Hite and Betty Lou Hyler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2011 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Rodney Gunter. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 2:15 until 3:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel. Memorials may be made to Beth-Eden Lutheran Church, 228 Jalapa Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
