Margie Boggs Lever, 92, of Newberry, widow of Ollie Lever, died Monday, December 7, 2009, at her residence.

Born on March 5, 1917, in Central, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth Stewart Boggs. She was retired from American Fiber and Finishing after 34 years and was a member of Glory Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church for 74 years where she was the oldest member.

Surviving are her children, James “Jimmy” Lever of Bonneau Beach, Joyce (James) Murray and Patsy Lollis both of Fountain Inn and Brenda Hubbard of Newberry; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Lever and all of her siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joel Mundy and Rev. Mac Jones. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Hospice, PO Box 352, Newberry, SC 29108.
