Marilyn Epting Merchant, 58, of Kinards, died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on October 31, 1962 in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late William Holland and Essie Dickey Epting. She was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and was an Instructional Assistant at Newberry High School. She was a member of Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church. Marilyn had a love for crocheting and knitting. She loved her animals and enjoyed listening to beach music and loved the Newberry High School Bulldogs.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg Crowder Merchant; a son, Gregg Holland Merchant of Kinards; daughters, Hannah Marie Merchant of Kinards and Heather (Vidal) Tapia on Joanna; and a grandson, Vidal Luke Tapia.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Little River-Dominick Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Paul Kerr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church. We ask that those attending the service to please wear a mask and follow the CDC guidelines for Covid-19.
