Marjorie Bedenbaugh Wicker, 72, of Prosperity, died Thursday, October 23, 2014, at her residence.

Born on July 17, 1942, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Allen R. and Edith Boland Bedenbaugh. She was a homemaker and was employed for several years with the South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon. Mrs. Wicker was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she served faithfully and was a member of W.E.L.C.A. She loved her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is survived her husband, Donald R. Wicker; a son, Richard (Karen) Wicker of Prosperity; daughter, Suzanne (Oscar) Long of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Jared and Sarah Wicker and Taylor and Alyssa Long; sisters, Marilyn Dowd of Belvedere and Beverly (Johnny) Merck of Prosperity; brother-in-law, Robert (Brenda) Wicker of Little Mountain and sister-in-law, Gayle Wicker of Little Mountain. Mrs. Wicker was predeceased by a daughter, Melanie Wicker.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2014, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Bret Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Trinity Life Center. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Association, 230 E. Ohio Street, Suite 304, Chicago, IL 60611 or the Alzheimer's Association 3225 Sunset Blvd, Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169.
