Mark Anson Neiger, 23, of Newberry, died Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Born on April 17, 1990, in Smithtown, NY, he was a son of Louis Walter and Linda Ann Bechthold Neiger. He worked for Alpha Tree Service of Pomaria. He enjoyed playing flag football with family and teams in Columbia and was an amateur bodybuilder. Mark was on fire for the Lord and was a member of Kennerly Road Baptist Church. He worked for Wilds Christian Camp and was preparing to go on a church mission trip with First Baptist Church of Prosperity to Ghana.
Mr. Neiger is survived by his parents, Louis and Linda Ann Neiger; brothers, Michael J. Neiger, Jonathan D. Neiger, Brian E. Neiger, Matthew I. Neiger and Joshua C. Neiger; sisters, Tiffany N. Charpentier, Heather N. Murray, Sara D. Cummins, Rachel E. Baron, Andrea V. Kissling, Amber N. Skoczelak and Abigall L. Neiger; seventeen nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant twin sisters, grandparents, Ira F. and Clara L. Neiger and Percy W. and Roseann Bechthold.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Kennerly Road Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00- 12:45 pm at Kennerly Road Baptist Church and at First Baptist Church of Prosperity following the committal service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Evangelist Efforts Ghana Mission Project c/o First Baptist Church of Prosperity, PO Box 362, Prosperity, SC 29127.
