Martha Allen

Martha Bundrick Allen, 83, of Pomaria, widow of I. Frank Allen, died Monday, November 30, 2009, at White Oak Manor.

Born on October 19, 1926, in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late James. E. and Irene Suber Bundrick. Mrs. Allen was retired as a bookkeeper from Damon International. She was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she loved God and her church family. She was a member of WELCA and was a member of Woodmen of the World.

Mrs. Allen was predeceased by a son, Ricky B. Allen. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Judy A. (Melvin) Meetze and Betty A. (Hanes) McEntire; a brother-in-law, Furman Warren; special nieces and nephews, Renee M. McGinnis, Ann W. (John) Smith, Richie A. (Toni) Warren, Bart (Lisa) McEntire, Patrick Meetze and Scott A. (Marsha) Meetze; cousins, Wayne (Geraldine) Koon, Lou Koon, Dovie (George Hallman) Sligh and Randy (Patti) Suber.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at her residence and they will receive friends Tuesday from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
