Martha B. Warren

Martha Lester Bedenbaugh Warren, 81, of Prosperity died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at J.F. Hawkins Health Care.

Born on October 6, 1933,  in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Hayne “John” and Julia Clary Bedenbaugh. She was a homemaker and was also employed by B.C. Moore in Newberry. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Gurney L. Warren; a daughter, Lynn Wessinger and her husband Larry of Pomaria; a son, Russell Warren and his wife Vickie of Newberry; sisters Mary Farr and her husband Frank of Little Mountain and Kay Richardson and her husband Wayne of Little Mountain; 3 grandchildren, Tara Stewart and her husband Greg, Whitney Warren, and Zachary Warren; 3 great-grandchildren, Lee Wessinger and his fiancée, Erynn Hatfield, Brianna Stewart, and Bailey Stewart; a great-great-granddaughter, Raelynn Wessinger, and expecting a great-great-grandson in November, Jaxon Wessinger. She was predeceased by a brother, Eddie Bedenbaugh; a sister, Betty Farr; and by a grandson, Heath Wessinger.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Michael Price. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Youth Group or to the Building Fund, P.O. Box 188, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to Boys Farm, P.O. Box 713, Newberry, SC 29108.
