Martha Ringer

Martha Virginia “Mot” Alewine Ringer, 78, of Pomaria, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at her residence.

Born on March 18, 1931, in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Boyce S. and Bessie Haltiwanger Alewine. She was retired from Winn Dixie and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she taught 3 year old Sunday School for many years.

Surviving is her husband of 55 years, James Harold Ringer; brothers, H.B. (Ann) Alewine of Rock Hill, Cecil (Dot) Alewine of Pomaria and Ray (Jean) Alewine of Whitmire. Mrs. Ringer was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn A. Harmon, Jessie Roberta Alewine and brothers, Carroll Alewine, Sr., Henry Claude Alewine, Clarence Homer Alewine and Franklin Lamar Alewine.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Fred Suhr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
