Martin Luther Senn, 66, of Newberry, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 13, 1950, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Samuel Luther and Grace Martin Senn. He was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and served in the S.C. National Guard. He worked for Bel Ivy Farm and previously at Ira T. Cousins. He was a member of Bush River Baptist Church and the Mature Adult's and Couples Sunday School Class and the Newberry Young Farmers. Mr. Senn was devoted to the field of agriculture and was a genuine farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Dee Senn; sons, John Senn and Jeremy (Jennifer) Senn both of Myrtle Beach, Jamie (Lacy) Senn of Newberry and Eddie (Jadell) Johnson of Elgin; sisters, Ellen (Gene) Smith of Newberry and Nina Faye Senn of Columbia; a brother, Thomas Senn of Newberry and eleven grandchildren; niece, Esther (Rocky) Bartus of Leesville and a nephew, Matthew Smith of Newberry. He was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Lee Senn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Bush River Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 10:45 am at the church on Thursday and at other times will be at his residence. Memorials may be made to Bush River Baptist Church, 8936 Bush River Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Active pallbearers will be William Satterwhite, Wayne Satterwhite, Tommy Cousins, Terry Gugel, Gilder Neel, Ty Senn and Fred Ballentine.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mature Adult's and Couples Sunday School Class of Bush River Baptist Church.
