Marvin "Chub" Lovelace

Marvin A. Lovelace, 77, of Hendersonville, NC, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Partee Hospital in Hendersonville.

Born on September 24, 1935, in Spindale, NC, he was a son of the late Marvin C. and Bessie Ray Lovelace. He was a retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in the Vietnam War, was formerly employed with Carter Toyota and retired as owner of Lovelace Auto Sales. Mr. Lovelace was a member of Etowah Baptist Church. Following retirement he moved to Hendersonville, NC with the love of his life of 57 years, Barbara who survives.

In addition to his wife, Barbara Ann Peterson Lovelace he is survived by daughters, Tamara (John) Brock of Lithia Springs, GA and Teresa (Jeff) Weyers of Pomaria; a brother, Harold Dean Lovelace of Greensboro, NC; a granddaughter, April Smith and great-grandchildren, Alysa and Adriana. He was predeceased by a son, Keith A. Lovelace and a sister, Betty Melton.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 8, 2013, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel.
