Mary Alice Senn

Mary Alice Gruber Senn, 88, of Newberry, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at her residence.

Born on July 5, 1923, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Hugh Gruber, Sr. and Eugenia Peigler Gruber. She was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Senn is survived by her husband, Frank Forrest Senn; sisters, Pauline Singley of Pomaria and Irene Jeffers of Lexington and  brothers, Marion Gruber of Newberry and Ernest Gruber, Jr. of Wilmington, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Melanie Zeuger.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Smyrna Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Scott Hill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Active pallbearers will be Deacons of Smyrna Presbyterian Church.
