Mary Attrice Kinard Freeman Thomas, 91, of Chapin, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at White Oak Manor.
Born on April 6, 1926, in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Mary Lou Black Kinard. Mrs. Thomas worked for Kendall Company, Oakland Plant for many years and retired from Whitten Center. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Horace (Jenny) Freeman, Jr. of Chapin; daughters, Mary Ann Kendrick of Union, Glenda Jean (James) Torrence, Brenda Gail (Tim) Coleman and Janice Marie (John) Bush all of Little Mountain; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was twice married, first to the late, Horace Glenn Freeman, Sr. and secondly, to the late James Thomas.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Whitmire Cemetery by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe. Memorials may be made to White Oak Manor, 2555 Kinard Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
