Mary Dawn Mills

Mary Dawn Ruff Mills, 66, of Prosperity, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at MUSC Charleston. 

Born on November 14, 1958, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Walter Jack and Ruth Livingston Ruff. She had worked at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home as a LPN. Mary Dawn was a member of First Baptist Church where she was involved with the Needle and Hook Club. 

She is survived by her husband, Randy A. Mills; a son, Skipper (Charley) Livingston of Newberry; step-daughters, Tracey Sims of Ellenboro, NC, Shelly (Brian) Baity of Sunset Beach, NC and Stacie (Michael) Martin of Prosperity; brothers, Walter “Bo” (Darlene) Ruff of Pomaria and Henry “Tugg” (Nancy) Ruff of Prosperity; grandchildren, Will Livingston, Tori Lundy, Kymbrlee Baity, Bayli Baity, Kristi Hawkins, Ronnie Bivins, Malory Sims, Ryan Martin and Allison Martin and eight great-grandchildren. Mary Dawn was predeceased by her husband, Jerald Wiggers and a sister, Jackie Eargle. 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
