Mary N. Kinard

Mary Norris Kinard, 92, of Newberry, widow of O. Z. “Zack” Kinard, died Monday, August 23, 2010, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on August 22, 1918, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late William Calhoun and Mary Jean Long Norris. She was retired from Damon International. Mrs. Kinard was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where she was a member of the GO Group.

She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, George Norris, William Norris, Claude Norris, Earl Norris, Jackson Norris and Blanche N. Kinard.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by Rev. Suzanne Walker. Memorials may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, c/o Robert Davis, 256 Graham Cemetery Road, Pomaria, SC 29126 or to the charity of one’s choice.
