Mary Shealy Cromer

Mary Shealy Cromer, 90, formerly of Prosperity, widow of Thomas Hayne Cromer, died May 3, 2015 at White Oak Manor.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late James Lonnie and Tressie Leona Stockman Shealy. She retired from Damon International. She was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Mt. Pilgrim Swingers. She and her husband enjoyed camping and she loved cooking meals for her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Emily Cromer (Lee) Sitnik of Irmo; a son-in-law, Harvey Boland of Prosperity; 4 grandchildren, Scott Boland, Michelle Wagner, Catherine Jordan, and Kevin Sitnik; 8 great-grandchildren, Abigail Jordan, Kelley Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, Amy Wagner, Michael Wagner, Brandon Boland, Emily Sitnik, and Thomas Sitnik; and a great-great-grandson, Everette Bartch. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tressie Cromer Boland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Morris. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mr. Pilgrim Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 678, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pall bearers will be Scott Boland, Kevin Sitnik, Brandon Boland, Wyatt Jordan, and Michael Wagner.
