Melanie Johnson

Melanie Williams Johnson, 50, of Silverstreet, departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2023.

Melanie was born on February 18, 1973, and attended Mid-Carolina High School and Piedmont Tech. She formerly served her community as an EMT and was currently employed as an assistant manager at Food Lion, where she interacted with many customers and friends daily.  

In addition to her loving husband of 25 years, Donnie Johnson, and her mother, Fran Dehardt, Melanie also treasured her children and is survived by Alex Milner of Warrensburg, MO; Drake Johnson (Daniel Stephens) of Greenville, SC; Marshall Johnson (Addi Darnell) of Silverstreet, SC and Ursa Johnson of the home. She is also survived by twin grandchildren, Madison and Jayden Milner; brothers, Daniel Nobles (Shante Johnson) and John Handcock; a sister, Sherry Williams; her grandmother, Joann Dehardt, her aunt, Deena Dehardt Davis (Jim) and nieces, Gwendolyn Nobles and Joelle Davis. Melanie also leaves behind Bailey and Nova, her cherished fur babies. Melanie was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Williams; her maternal grandfather, Lowell Allen "Mister"Dehardt, her paternal grandparents and her sweet dog, Bella.     

A private service will be held at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The family is grateful for all who have comforted them in their loss and ask to be remembered in prayer as time goes on.
