Merlee Stuck

Merlee Epting Stuck, 90, of Pomaria, widow of Kenneth Edwin Stuck, died Monday, November 27, 2017, at Generations of Chapin.

Born on February 4, 1927, in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Vadice Irene Lott Epting. She attended Winthrop College, was retired from MEPCO and was a charter member of the Pomaria Bridge Club. Mrs. Stuck was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where was involved with WELCA, the Social Ministry Committee, the Leisure Gatherers, the Altar Guild and the choir.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Epting “Buck” (Dr. Leslie) Stuck of Pomaria; daughters, Marianne (Randy) Ruff, Lisa (Tim) Traylor and Amy (Mark) Shealy all of Pomaria; grandchildren, Todd (Betty) Dover, Haley (Chad) Oates, Joshua Ruff, Derek (Allison) Ruff, Blake Stuck, Jaye Stuck, Jessica Traylor, Charlsy Traylor, Cole Shealy and Jacob K. Shealy; great-grandchildren, Justin Dover, Johnny Dover and Alyssa Millard. Mrs. Stuck was predeceased by her siblings , Carolyn Gavlin, Joan Ringer, Darr Epting, Kibler Epting and Donald “Duck” Epting.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Zeke Hanford and Rev. James Shealy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 622 Hope Station Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.

Active pallbearers will be Steve Ringer, Allan Epting, Carl Epting, Brian Epting, William Stuck and Doug Stuck.
