Mildred Ann Sease

Mildred Ann Sease, 70, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born November 6, 1943, in Calhoun Falls, she was a daughter of the late Benton Woodrow and Mildred Burdette Gosnell. She was retired from Generations of Chapin, a member of Wightman United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Sease is survived by her husband, David Horace Sease, Sr.; daughters, Malanie DeVore of Irmo and Kimberly Beck of Hendersonville, NC; step-son, David H. (Wendy) Sease, Jr. of Newberry; step-daughters, Ramona (Jimmy) Schiffert of Newberry and Donna (Junior) Livingston of Prosperity; sisters, Becky Simmons of Calhoun Falls and Teresa (Greg) Baker of Catula, GA; a brother, Sammie Gosnell of Calhoun Falls; grandchildren, Chris DeVore, Dale Beck, Jozie Beck, Danielle Bradley, Toshia Schiffert, Tabitha Schiffert, Abigail Sease, Mackenzie Sease, Charles Alexander Cotney, Tiffany Livingston and Calvin Livingston; great-grandchildren, Michael Bradley, Caleb Bradley and Chloe Schiffert. She was predeceased by a grandson, Joe Beck and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, April 25, 2014, at Wightman United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dean Lollis and Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Charles Alexander Cotney, Jimmy Schiffert, David H. Sease, Jr., Duane Stuck, Robert Wilson and Junior Livingston.
