Frank Milton Dennis, 72, of Prosperity, widower of Diane Morris Dennis, died Monday, March 30, 2015, at Intermedical Hospital of SC.
Born on July 29, 1942, in Monks Corner, he was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Mae Dominick Dennis. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and had served in the South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Dennis was a longtime grocery manager having retired from Bi-Lo. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, James M. Kinard Camp and enjoyed going to tractor shows and anything that had to do with John Deere.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Missy Dennis; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Liz Morris of Prosperity.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family will be at the home Anthony and Missy Dennis. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or Improvement Fund, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127.
Active pallbearers will be David Bowers, Jr.,Grady Dominick, Bobby Dennis, Robert Dominick, Wayde Dominick, Donnie Bickley, Blake Davis and Terry Morris.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Chip Lake, Billy Jackson, Earl Dominick, Jamie Morris, Donnie Huyck, Gordon Johnson, Neel Boozer, Toby Shealy and Steve Shealy.
