Mollie Dowd Graham, 88, of Newberry, widow of Edwin T. Graham, Jr., passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Newberry Health.
Born on July 6, 1936 in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Eva Shealy Dowd. Mrs. Graham retired from Nations Bank as Head Teller after 44 ½ years of service. She was a member of Wightman Methodist Church where she was a member of the Asbury Bedenbaugh Sunday School Class, the Joy Group, The Healing Hearts, and the Birthday Club. She was a former member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Newberry County.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Graham Schwartz and her husband David of Daniel Island; her special granddaughters, Ava Grace Dickinson and Raquel Schwartz both of Daniel Island; her sisters-in-law, Linda Dowd and Georgie Faye Fulmer and her husband Karl; a brother-in law, Nathan Graham; special nieces, Johnsie Long, Cathy Franklin, Jenny Dowd, Leann London, and Karla Faye Fulmer; special nephews, Donald Dowd, Craig Dominick, and Marc Dominick.
She was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Dowd Richardson Fulmer and Doris Dowd Wicker; a brother, Ellis Dowd; and by a nephew, Steve Richardson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Wightman Methodist Church by the Rev. Gryff Carosiello. Entombment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wightman Methodist Church, P.O. Box 376, Prosperity, SC 29127.
