Mona Perrell

Mona Cannon Perrell, 72, of Newberry, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Springfield Place.

Born on July 14, 1942, in Clinton, she was the daughter of the late Willie M. and Eloise Crowe Cannon. Mrs. Perrell was a 1964 graduate of the Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing and retired from the Newberry County Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse after over 50 years of nursing service. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a volunteer with the Newberry County Relay for Life and the Newberry YMCA. She was a member of the S.C. Nurses Association.

Mrs. Perrell is survived by her husband, Orion R. Perrell; sons, Eric (Rhonda) Perrell of Prosperity and Bill Perrell of Salley; a brother, John Cannon of Clinton and a grandson, Lance Perrell.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Albert Allen and the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Harmon. The family will receive friends following the service.
